Day 1
Departure from Schiphol to Entebbe, Uganda. Overnight in the Entebbe area.
Day 2
Entebbe, breakfast. Visit to the Botanical Garden. Victoria Lake, with nice little beaches with restaurants on the waterfront. Half of Lake Victoria belongs to Uganda. Overnight in the Entebbe area.
Day 3
Entebbe, breakfast. departure to Jinja ride of 3.5 hours. Jinja is a town in southeastern Uganda, located on Lake Victoria. Afternoon visit to the Origin of the Nile. Overnight in Jinja.
Day 4
Jinja, breakfast. Departure to Moroto in Karamoja, a part of Uganda with its own culture. In the northeast of Uganda. One-day trip. Overnight in a hotel.
Day 5
Moroto, breakfast. Walk on Mount Moroto and through a village. Experience of real life in Karamoja. In the afternoon to a small village, where families live in small, fenced-in plots. We will stay with a family in tents, which we will place in the family compound. Life is still very basic. No money is used in the small villages. Cows are the most important thing to these people.
Day 6
Breakfast in the village. Back to Moroto. Cycle tour through the town and visit a local market and a school. Overnight in a hotel
Day 7
After breakfast, drive to Murchison National Park for a safari. Overnight in a resort
Day 8
Breakfast. Murchison National Park. Game drive, safari, early morning. Murchison has a wide variety of wildlife. Many giraffes, antelopes, waterbucks and elephants, and a smaller number of lions. In the afternoon a boat trip on the Nile, towards the beautiful waterfall. Overnight at the resort.
Day 9
Breakfast. Visit at the top of the waterfall. Very impressive. Then back to Kampala. Overnight in the Kampala area.
Day 10
Breakfast. Visit the souvenir markets in Kampala. In the afternoon to Entebbe for a last drink on Lake Victoria. Departure for the Netherlands in the evening.
